For over 30 years, the Ortiz Family has honored Mexican culinary traditions, crafting authentic dishes with the freshest ingredients. It all began in 1991 with the opening of “El Cielito Lindo” in South Beach, later renamed “El Rancho Grande,” where they became renowned for exceptional Mexican food, handcrafted margaritas, and unforgettable Cinco de Mayo celebrations.

In 2006, their success expanded to Kendall with a second location, offering catering services, live mariachi performances, and outdoor seating. In 2013, the family transformed their South Beach restaurant into Tequiztlan Tequileria and Cocina Mexicana, located in the vibrant Sunset Harbour neighborhood. This reimagined space features colorful decor, custom ceramic tables, and an extensive selection of premium tequilas and mezcales.
